Step 4 - Dream Big

If you want to be larger than life, you need a dream that’s larger than life. Small dreams won’t serve you or anyone else. It takes the same amount of time to dream small than it does to dream big. So be Big and be Bold!

Write down your One Biggest Dream. The one that excites you the most. Remember, don.t be small and realistic; be bold and unrealistic! Go for the Gold, the Pulitzer, the Nobel, the Oscar, the highest you can possibly achieve in your field.

After you.ve written down your dream, list every single reason why you CAN achieve your dream instead of worrying about why you can't.

  5. To get to my dream I set out to follow the plan of a SMART anlysis, when I have set these out and checked out who came up with this mnemomic imagine my surprise when I found it is atributed to a certain, T. Doran in 1981.
After I went through the process to pick 3 for the assignment I found it best to use Specific, Achievable and Time-Bound.

  7. Very clear on the structure of my SMART plan and you are right I need to take all 5 steps into consideration. My own swot along with the 2 I got back have laid out my working life in 12 nice boxes. The strength boxes were all pretty standard I had intended to work on the weakness boxes mostly, but after the last class have moved the graph about to enhance the strengths, seek to attain the opportunities, plan for the threats, and lastly address the weakness section in a more reflective way. My original plan was to start with the weakness box, but now see this would not be helpful. I can see it was pride taking the lead. Not for the first time have I been told to stop talking and listen more, (surprise surprise), with this course I am definitly going to address this weakness. Time will tell.
